blessing Linux boots on iMacs

I've just worked out how to get my iMacs to boot into linux by default. Previously I've blogged about my efforts to install Debian on an iMac and a macbook air. The arch linux people have documented how to bless you're linux boot loader. They say you need to boot into Mac OSX, and then mount the efi volume. Over on themacadmin.com they describe how to mount the efi volume.

how to improve support team work for 100km walkers

As I mentioned, Andrea was doing the oxfam 100km trailwalker event. Our support efforts went well, but there are a few things we could improve on.

oxfam trail walking 2013

This weekend Andrea is doing the 100km walk for Oxfam. She's been doing a great job. As you can see from https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/teamtracker/team/13880, she's left Mt Evelyn (which is at the 60km mark) a couple of hours ago after a few hours rest at her grandma's house.
